I'm still getting the logistics all worked out. But I'm having fun, as VickiW and Summerset were the first commenters on my blog and now I understand the thrill of that.
I do want to report that I went to my Sewing Guild on Saturday morning. We are called the Fashion Focus Group, and Audrey showed up wearing this, an absolutely fabulous jacket she made back in April. I want to say that her photograph simply does not do it justice. It is made from the most wonderful wool/Lycra blend, and was so yummy that several of us just had to touch it. I love Audrey's blog; her posts are thorough and thoughtful and I always learn so much.
Parting shot: me being shy. Just so you know, this is NOT my 1961 Rolls Royce. But it does belong to a friend of mine who lets me ride in it occasionally. I absolutely love this car.

I love your blog! I don't normally read blogs, because the last thing in the world I need is another way to avoid work at the office but it was fascinating - you make me want to sew. How's that for earth shattering? The idea that I would no longer depend on you to do my quilt piecing! OMG!
Miss Eileen????!!!!! Is that you? How fabulous! I'm planning a post on "First Quilt, Last Quilt" so I'll need to take a photo of the quilt I pieced for you - my masterpiece. As opposed to my first quilt which shouldn't see the light of day!
welcome to blogland Kim!
I foresee great things being shown here. Welcome to the blog world from the blog-less!
Kim, welcome to the blogging world. Sometimes I have trouble pulling myself away from the blogs to find time on the sewing machine. I think you will enjoy yourself.
I came over from Vickie's blog Field Trips in Fiber. Your sewing is great! I love that dress. Great blog.
I am thrilled to see your blog is up and running. Gosh on Saturday you were just talking about it and here it is. I always look forward to your "show and tells" at the ASG meetings. Your choice of patterns and fabrics is always unique and original. I especially liked the crab dress. And now the rest of blogland will get to see them too. Thanks for the compliments on my jacket.
Audrey
Thanks to all of you for your encouragement! Y'all make me want to write more. And more will come in time - I'm already having fun.
Kim,
Don't you look sassy next to that hot car.
Love your blog.
Saturday was a lot of fun.
Happy sewing.
Chris
