I was relieved to find out that Summerset cuts out all her creations with scissors, not a rotary cutter, so I've decided to give myself a break and forgo the practice with the rotary cutter on anything that isn't a straight line. If it is good enough for Summerset, it is good enough for me.
And Judy has got me interested in learning how to bake bread. I'll bookmark that one for after the first of the year.
Parting Shot: A vintage pattern that I am planning on trying out come spring. I think I got it in Carytown this summer when Summerset discovered that a second hand shop that I had been going to for years sold vintage patterns. Who knew?

That's going to be a nice quilt!
Which shop in Carytown? I didn't know either. It's not the upscale Goodwill shop is it?
Robin
Nope, Robin, it's Bygones. Who knew? In the middle of the shop there are some pull out drawers, stuffed full of patterns. Many were mailed and you can see the date stamped and the Richmond addresses on them. Very cool.
Yes, I don't do well with curves an rotary cutters. Straight lines and rulers I can do; curves, no.
Robin - There is a large drawer at the bottom of the clearance armoire/rack. It is very deep, too, keep digging! Kim (being the well mannered southern lady that she is), sat on a stool while I (the coarser Northerner)sat on the floor, pulled out pattern after pattern and handed them up. I do remember that pattern, too!
A couple years ago I went to an estate sale which included the entire contents of a dedicated seamstress's sewing room. I brought home boxes of the old patterns...the graphic on the front are just too fun! So far I have only used one to make a very retro apron...
Your asian strip quilt is very nice.
I have only just started to use a rotary cutter, and I got it only for quilting. I'm a scissors kind of woman myself.
